PS5 Controller Tester (DualSense)
Comment lire ceci · 22 août 2026
To test a PS5 DualSense controller, plug it into your computer with a USB-C cable or pair it over Bluetooth, then press any button so the browser detects it. This page loads the tester with the DualSense layout already selected, so the on-screen labels match the Cross, Circle, Square, and Triangle face buttons. Press each button to see it light up, hold both sticks still to run the stick-drift test, and squeeze L2 and R2 to confirm the analog triggers travel the full range.
Everything runs locally in your browser. Nothing about your controller is uploaded, and no account or install is needed. The drift test samples your resting stick position for a few seconds and reports the exact offset and direction, which is the fastest way to confirm whether a DualSense has developed the analog drift that affects many units after heavy use.

How to connect PS5
- Wired: connect the DualSense to a USB-C port. It is detected immediately, no pairing needed.
- Bluetooth: hold the PS button and the Create button together until the light bar flashes, then pair "Wireless Controller" from your Bluetooth settings.
- On a browser, press any button after connecting so the Gamepad API exposes the controller.
Common PS5 problems
Analog stick drift
The DualSense uses potentiometer-based sticks that wear over time. Drift usually shows first on the left stick as a small resting offset. Run the drift test above with the stick centered; a resting offset above a few percent that points consistently in one direction indicates drift.
Adaptive trigger wear
L2 and R2 are analog and include the adaptive-trigger motors. If a trigger no longer reaches 100 percent, sticks partway, or rests above zero, the trigger bar on this page will show it. A trigger resting above zero can read as a stuck trigger.
Bluetooth dropouts
Interference or a low battery can cause the polling rate to fall or the connection to drop. Watch the approximate polling readout: a wired connection should hold a steady, higher rate than a congested Bluetooth link.
FAQ
Why do the buttons show Cross and Circle instead of A and B?
PlayStation controllers label their face buttons with shapes. This page pre-selects the DualSense layout so the labels match your controller. You can switch layouts with the overlay picker in the tester.
Can I test DualSense drift without downloading anything?
Yes. The drift test runs entirely in your browser using the Gamepad API. Center both sticks, start the test, and read the measured resting offset and direction.
Does the adaptive trigger effect work in the browser?
The browser can read the analog trigger values, but it cannot drive the adaptive-trigger resistance motors. You can still confirm the triggers travel their full range.
